Oregon Coast
A perfect alignment of sea stacks appears to float as the setting sun on the Oregon Coast turns the marine layer on the horizon into shades of yellow and orange. A combination of techniques was used in the field to capture these remarkable "castles" in the Pacific Ocean with a dreamlike look and feel. This cluster of rocks can't be seen from the old highway like many other landmarks along the coastline. Instead, they hide behind a wall of forested private land—a secret few people ever get to witness. I received special permission to be here, and the entire time I spent at this awe-inspiring vista, it felt like a figment of my imagination.
